Prelude
Excerpt of a short conversation at last weekend’s PSO chamber concert, between Sara and a female patron who had brought her young son:
Patron: My son was sure he wouldn’t enjoy this concert; so in order to get him to come, I had to agree to let him bring a book AND wear jeans.
Sara: Yeah, I had to agree to very similar conditions last week.
Patron: Oh, you have children?
Sara: No, a husband.

Hey man,
Every time I google my band, I see this post come up, so I thought I’d drop you a line. Glad you dig the music. I hope you bought the whole thing! Anyway, keep bloggin’ and stay in touch by signing the mailing list at drawtippy.net.
Thanks,
Draw Tippy
cool, thanks for writing.
i’ve been looping your cover of Rainbow Connection (to my wife’s eventual dismay)–it’s a somewhat addictive tune. hey, as long as i’ve got your attention… why did you reverse the first two verses? (the lyrics sorta don’t make sense the way you’ve got them.)
i admit, i didn’t buy the whole album, but i did check out some of your other clips and i dig them; it’s like Radiohead meets Wheatus.
anyway, keep up the good music, and thanks for the note!
Ha! I didn’t mix up the verses, it’s more like the pre-choruses and you are the first person EVER to catch it. I wish I had a good reason “why” but it was a mistake that I left in to make the cover a little different. Crazy musicians! Anyway, listen for my songs on The Real World Austin if you can stomach watching. They’ve used it like 7 times so far.
Thanks for supporting DT!
sweet! hah, i’m glad i was paying attention.
actually, i agree that the lyric mix-up is cool (”keepin’ it real”
); i’m glad you decided to leave it in there.
hmm, i’m not sure i can justify watching TRW-Austin… how about if i just listen on my iPod instead?
(oh, and btw, i’ll be mentioning you in another, upcoming blog entry…)
